Once again, I find myself on my travels, compiling my guide to the Wetherspoon's of England.
I do hope to resume normal service shortly.

His contribution to British journalism over the past 4 decades is almost beyond compare. The list of periodicals and newspapers which have, at sometime or another, included the Bill Blunt by-line reads like a list of periodicals and newspapers.
Bill Blunt is one of those rare individuals who, while you may not always agree with him, will fight until his last breath for the right to be able to publish things you don't agree with. I trust you enjoy reading his trenchant ramblings almost as much as Bill himself so obviously does.
Kind Regards
The Editor

It's a wonder you can compile anything after one of your infamous torus, Bill.
Have fun!
- Julian.
I hope your Wetherspoon directory is reflected on here Bill... it is a great help to us all who travel and surf for wherever the best places are to 'hook up' to continue our virtual lives :-)
Interpol's really contacted him in reference to social engineering training of their agents abroad.
I know this because they refused to tell me.
I hope you've taken a stout stick Mr Blunt. Useful on many occasions
I believe the truth is that he is beating a rather ignominious retreat from the Hart-Caunts. (That is an unfortunate typo. The correct spelling is Hart-Cauntsincestershire - pronounced, in the grand English tradition, "Cornts")
I've read it, I've fuelled it and now I'm weeping.... hurry back
julian - thank you. I am in a place so steeped in history that you would doubtless stain your rather frayed trousers in anticipation of the wonders I will be able to reveal shortly.
anonymous - Now, there's a thought!
john c - Bill BLunt is not so easily bought, as you well know!
daddy papersurfer - Good advice, but entirely uneccessary on this occasion, as Mrs Blunt is safe at home
archie - You're a brave man, today, accusing old Bill of retreat in the face of the Hard-Caunts. I'm not a man to run away from a fight, I can tell you. Unless there are solicitors involved, of course.
nursemyra - thank you. Your Fuel is always of the highest calibre.
Oh - please go and make yourself known to one of the assistant managers at W in Skipton - adorable child - but I would say that wouldn't I!
Well, lisa, I have already decided that an alphabetic approach will be too challenging, so it may not be long before I chance towards the Skipton direction...
Your public love you Bill ... stop popping off on your road trips. I am sure Mrs B must be feeling the brunt too of your disappeances, missing her familiar trips to the hypermarket and occassional days out in public.
I hope she has not experienced too many 'Witheringspoons' with you after such a long marriage?
Loathe though I am to admit it, anonymous, but I rather fear that Mrs Blunt has come to quite enjoy our enforced separations - almost as much, indeed, as I have.
"almost as much, indeed, as I have."
rewrite "almost as much, indeed, as have I."
come back to receive your award sir:

Quite why you should enjoy our separation, Mr Sub-Editor, I don't know... unless there's something which Mrs B is hiding from me. I suspect an ulterior motive behind your fine language!
No interest in Mrs Blunt, other than avuncular. Rather the comment was more a piece of professional pedantry.
I have the scalps of quite a few sub-editors hanging above the desk in my study, I can tell you, Mr Sub Editor. I've crossed swords with the best and the worst of pedants, in my time - both professional and amateur.
Bring it on!
As for your professed avuncular love of my good wife, you need to know that she is a woman of needs. As I will be making frequent trips away over the months ahead, surely you can spare a moment or two to help met these?
